Companies Showcase Mobile Information Solution at HIMSS Conference

The companies are showcasing this new chronic disease management solution at the 2007 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference in New Orleans on Feb. 26 – March 1 in booth No. 1763.

CapMed is a leading provider of personal health record (PHR) management solutions. CapMed's platform helps patients gather information through electronic transfer from multiple providers, upload information from home-monitoring devices and record information including lab values, exercise regimens, medications and medical images. This information then can be linked with electronic provider systems using a secure online exchange or a portable USB flash drive. CONFIDANT leads the nation in developing mobile communication solutions for chronic disease management. The CONFIDANT system uses everyday cell phones and common home medical devices to monitor patients with diabetes, obesity and other chronic diseases, provide real-time feedback to the patient via cell phone and transmit a patient’s day-to-day health readings to his or her health care provider.
